Trained in the craft of bootmaking by his mother William Green first set up the Northampton based company as ‘Green & Son’ in the late 19th century. The first company to use the Goodyear welt Grenson soon became famously known for their superior quality, craftsmanship and durability. Grenson’s business survived the depression and WW2 to emerge as an established boot and shoemaker that would later be adopted by all ages/walks of life. Key pieces are the Stanley, Fred and the Archie but make sure you don’t overlook the Sid long wing and the Curt Gibson.
